LeasePlan presents Car Fleet of the Year 2016
For the 14th year the management of LeasePlan fleet presented the results of the evaluation the best on home soil company cars, in an election that distinguished as absolute winner VW Golf Variant BlueMotion 1.6 TDI Comfortline.
Held today the awards Car Fleet of the Year 2016 LeasePlan, an initiative that is now in its 14th edition and in which the management of fleets, together with its customers and the media, distinguishes the best deals available by marks on Small Family category, Family Medium Generalist and Middle Family Premium. For this assessment, the company responsible for the initiative started by highlighting the three best proposals for each segment through a quantitative analysis that accounted for half of the final grade. This analysis took into account the sales figures of their own LeasePlan and data supplied to the domestic car market by ACAP, along with other values such as the TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) and Security Classification EuroNcap, followed a qualitative assessment, also worth 50% of the final grade.
This second part was in charge of 14 customers LeasePlan and two media, which in an event that lasted two days and was held in Obidos, had the opportunity to test all finalists models. With a total of more than 5000 cars in functions in their companies, which met together more than 165 million kilometers last year, 14 customers selected by LeasePlan effected test drives to three finalists in each category, and from these experiences driving gave their scores to cars in features like Habitability, comfort and aesthetics and also the motor built into each vehicle.

In this category the finalists were the Renault Mégane IV 1.5 DCi (with the brand already available for test-drives the new generation model, recently released), along with the Volkswagen Golf Variant BlueMotion 1.6 TDI Comfortline and also the Seat Leon ST Style Ecomotive 1.6 TDi. In this category the model that stood out was the VW Golf wagon, which, as you will discover later, is one of the models whose features customers LeasePlan have been out in recent times.
